Olympiad Exam



                                                                 
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts National Informatics Olympiad in collaboration with the Indian Association of Research in Computing Science (IARCS), Mumbai. This examination is conducted across the country and even abroad. The examination is open for all students between class 8th to 12th studying in CBSE schools and is also open for other students. The goal of this exam is to identify school students who have excellent skills in programming and algorithms. The examination is held in two stages and is open to all the students of classes VIII to XII studying in CBSE schools as well as other boards. The first stage examination consisting of the Zonal Informatics Olympiad is held in the month of November. The written examination tests the aptitude of the students, their logical competence, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking. The candidates who qualify in the first stage examination appear for the second stage examination held in January next year, which is based on programming skills. Selected candidates are then called for intensive training for the final selection of the candidates for the International Olympiad.
