 CSIR – JRF Syllabus
 CSIR – JRF is purely based on the NET (National Eligibility Test) scores conducted by the CSIR in the following areas.
1)    Chemical Sciences
2)    Earth Atmosphere, Ocean and Planetary Sciences
3)    Life sciences
4)    Mathematical Sciences
5)    Physical sciences
CSIR – JRF is one single paper with multiple choice questions and test comprises of three parts
1)    Part A: General science and Research Aptitude- This section shall contain questions pertaining to general Aptitude which emphasize on logical reasoning, numerical ability, graphical analysis, Quantitative comparison, series formation, puzzles, etc.
2)    Part B: Conventional MCQ which mainly deals with the subject.
3)    Part C: Scientific concepts and its applications – This shall comprise of higher value questions that test candidate’s knowledge of scientific concepts and questions shall be of analytical nature. 
There is negative marking for wrong answers. Candidates who qualify the written test are informed individually.

CSIR – JRF Application forms can be submitted both online and offline. Candidates can request for application forms by post or download the application form from the official website http://www.csirhrdg.res.in/. All the details regarding filling of the application form are available in the official website. CSIR – JRF application forms are made available in various branches of Indian bank and oriental bank of commerce.
