ISEET (Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test)
A common engineering entrance examination was first proposed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development in February 2010 as a common medium for common admission into professional institutions in the country. The test proposed to replace Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE) and the All India Engineering Entrance Examination, was Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test (ISEET). This exam plans to cover admissions to centrally-funded institutions, including the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) and other deemed universities. The exam has been introduced on 20 May 2012, and is held in many languages.
ISEET Exam
The exam is held in the month of March or April. The duration of Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test (ISEET), Main and Advance is of three hours each. Both the tests are held on the same day.

Colleges under ISEET
The colleges that consider Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test (ISEET) are:
15 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs),
30 National Institutes of Technology (NITs).
5 Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs),
5 Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs)
And few deemed universities which come under the purview of the HRD Ministry.
Number of seats available for admission:
15 IITs + IT- BHU + ISMU Dhanbad – 10,000+ seats
30 NITs – 20,000+ seats
5 IIITs – 2,000+ seats
6 IISERs + IISc – 2,500+ seats
IIST + ISI – 500+ seats
Other Deemed Universities (National Level) – 5,000+ seats
State Level Colleges – 5,00,000+ seats

Comprehension
Logical Reasoning
Critical Reasoning
ISEET Advance Exam includes:
Advance exam will have the syllabus from School Boards. Its difficulty level is kept equal to AIEEE. 30% weightage will be given to the Advance exam while taking admissions. It tests the problem solving abilities of the candidate. It includes:
Chemistry
Physics
Mathematics

Duration: 3 hours
Areas Tested: Reading Comprehension and Critical Thinking and Logical Reasoning.
Weightage: 30% minimum
ISEET ADVANCE:
Duration: 3 hours
Areas Tested: Problem Solving Ability in Basic Science Subjects.
Weightage: 30% minimum

ISEET Preparation 
There are various prep books and study materials available in the market for preparation of ISEET exam. All those who are appearing for this exam will have to work on the mentioned subjects – Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Comprehension, Logical Reasoning and Critical Reasoning. To attempt these sections with confidence, you have to acquaint yourself with the kind of questions that you are likely to see in the exam. Practicing them from sample papers or previous year paper can help you a lot in increasing your speed and efficiency from the examination perspective.
